Our approach

An agent who works for you, not for one insurer.

One agent, several carriers

We're appointed with a range of insurers, so we can move your cover to the one that fits. We don't bend your needs to fit a single company's menu.

Paperwork in plain language

Every quote arrives with a one-page summary: what's covered, what isn't, your deductibles and the exclusions worth knowing about before you sign.

Beside you at claim time

When something goes wrong, you call us first. We help you document the loss, file with the carrier and follow up until the claim is settled.

Coverage index

Six lines of cover, read closely.

Each line below shows who it usually suits and the first thing we check in your existing policy, which is often where gaps or overlaps hide.

Coverage lines, who they suit and what we check first
Line of coverOften suitsWhat we check first
Home & propertyowners, renters, landlords Households whose rebuild costs, belongings or rental units have changed since the policy was written. Whether the dwelling limit matches today's rebuild cost, and whether water backup is excluded.
Auto & household vehiclescars, trucks, trailers Families adding a new driver, a second vehicle or a towed trailer. Liability limits against what you own, and whether uninsured-motorist cover mirrors them.
Small farm & acreagehobby farms, outbuildings Rural properties with barns, equipment, livestock or a roadside stand. Whether outbuildings and farm equipment are listed, or quietly excluded by a standard home form.
Main-street businessshops, trades, studios Owner-run businesses with a storefront, tools on the road or a few employees. General liability, business interruption, and whether tools in vehicles are covered off-site.
Life & income protectionterm, permanent, disability Anyone with a mortgage, young children or a partner who relies on their income. Whether existing workplace cover would actually replace income, and for how long.
Umbrella liabilityextra layer above other policies Households with a pool, rental property, teen drivers or significant savings. That underlying auto and home limits meet the umbrella's minimums, so there's no gap between layers.
How a review works

Four steps, no pressure to switch.

If your current cover is already a good fit, we'll say so. A review is useful even when the answer is "keep what you have."

  1. i.

    Listen

A relaxed conversation about what you own, who depends on you and what worries you most.

  2. ii.

    Audit

We read your current declarations pages line by line and flag gaps, overlaps and outdated limits.

  3. iii.

    Compare

We quote suitable carriers and set the options side by side, with the trade-offs written out plainly.

  4. iv.

    Stay close

A check-in before each renewal, and help filing and following up on any claim.

Your declarations pages tell us most of what we need.
Before we meet

What to have on hand.

  • Current declarations pages: the summary sheet at the front of each policy.
  • Recent renewal notices, so we can see how premiums have moved.
  • Drivers and vehicles: names, birth years and how each vehicle is used.
  • Home changes: a new roof, renovation, outbuilding or finished basement.
  • Business basics, if relevant: rough revenue, staff and equipment list.
Questions

Asked often, answered plainly.

Can't find your question here? Add it to the review request below and we'll answer it in our first conversation.

Does a policy review cost anything?

No. Reviews are free. Like most independent agencies, we're paid a commission by the carrier when you buy a policy through us, and that commission is already built into the premium.

Can I switch insurers before my renewal date?

Usually, yes. Most personal policies can be cancelled mid-term, and any unused premium is refunded. We line up the new policy first so there's never a day without cover.

What do you do when I need to file a claim?

We walk you through documenting the damage, open the claim with the carrier, and keep following up with the adjuster. You'll have one familiar contact from start to finish.

Will bundling home and auto always save money?

Often, but not always. Sometimes two carriers beat one bundle. We quote both ways and show you the difference so you can decide.

Which insurance companies do you work with?

We're appointed with a range of regional and national carriers. Which ones suit you depends on your property, vehicles and location, so we match carriers to your situation and share the options during the review.

How early should I start before my renewal?

About four to six weeks ahead is ideal. That gives time to gather documents, request quotes and compare them without rushing a decision.

Can you cover my home and my small business together?

Yes. Many clients run a trade or shop alongside their household. Looking at both together helps us spot gaps, such as work tools kept at home or a vehicle used for jobs.
